If 300 wins is the measuring stick for great pitchers, Tom Brady has a ways to go to be a great pitcher. But Brady's 243 career wins in the regular season would rank 56th on the all-time wins list in Major League Baseball. He would be tied with Juan Marichal and only eight wins behind the great Bob Gibson. Of course a starting pitcher these days hopes to get 30-33 starts in a season. Brady, and other starting quarterbacks have gotten starts before adding one more this season. Brady won't catch Cy Young's 511 career wins but he is 57 wins from 300. He has averaged just over 11 wins a season(counting the 2008 season where he played just one game before an injury). Brady would need 5+ seasons averaging 11 or more wins to get to 300. Brady would be 49 in five seasons and likely won't play that long. But if he plays two more seasons and gets another 22 wins he would get to 265 wins and that would rank 39th on the all-time wins list of pitchers.

Brady is 243-73 all-time in the regular season and he's 34-11 in the postseason. A quarterback can get up to four starts during the playoffs. Brady usually has avoided a wild card round and has averaged 2-3 playoff starts a season. The Major League Baseball record for all-time wins in the postseason is 19 by Andy Pettite. Brady has 34. The record for all-time starts in the postseason in baseball is 44 by Petitte. Brady starts his 46th playoff game this weekend...

For three years Brian Flores coached the Miami Dolphins and no one reported the internal problems that Flores reportedly had with others in the organization and players. After he was fired by Stephan Ross, the stories are running like a fire house. Coincidence? No. Ross needed to spin that the lowly popular owner wasn't firing a popular coach. So you get your story out through a variety of sources and make it out like Flores was the bad guy and he had to go. It happens all the time...Cowboys and Niners play this weekend and it's been 40-years since Dwight Clark's famous catch in 1982. It brought us the dominant run of the Niners and remains one of the most famous plays in the NFL's history...Ben Roethlisberger may play his final game this weekend. The famed 2004 NFL Draft had Eli Manning go first, Philip Rivers fourth and Big Ben 11th. LarryFitzgerald went fourth overall in that draft...Why are eggs sold in a dozen?(Answer below)...The Magic have lost nine straight and sit 7-35. The team is on a pace to win less than 14 games. Orlando is in position for the top pick in the draft. Auburn's Jabari Smith tops most mock drafts. Duke's Paolo Banchero and Gonzaga's Chet Holmgren are also considered candidates for the top pick. Admit it, you haven't seen any of these players play a single minute in college this season...I did see Smith in person when I called the UCF-Auburn game. I do think he can be a very good NBA player. Is a franchise changing talent? Not at the moment, he's a good player that may be a good pro...Prediction: the transfer portal rules will change in next two seasons. Players will get two windows to enter the portal which will be open for movement for a period of time. Teams will have to have live roster totals-meaning if you lose one you can only take one and you will not be allowed to go above a certain number of scholarship players at any time...Two things I know to be fact: no one on twitter has ever lost money on cryptocurrency and when national sports radio hosts who make weekly NFL picks stop posting their overall record and brag about back-to-back winning weeks you know they can't be trusted...

Final thought: Eggs are sold in a dozen because back in the 1400s eggs were sold for a shilling and shilling equaled 12 pennies, hence the dozen total.
