Disney Announces No Christmas Party, But Other Holiday Plans To Continue

Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Castle DreamLights and Candlelight Processional at EPCOT are confirmed to not happen this year. Physical distancing requirements and limitations on mass gatherings make those events impossible to host.

Although the main holiday events will be missing in 2020, from November 6-December 30, guests can enjoy festive décor, themed merchandise, seasonal food & beverage offerings and entertainment.

At night the castle will look a little difference as the traditional lights will be replaced by special projection effects to give a festive look to Cinderella Castle this year. The appearance of the iconic castle will be transformed with a rotating series of designs including a whimsical Christmas sweaters and red, green and gold ornamentation.

Over at EPCOT beginning November 27th will be the International Festival of the Holidays. Holiday kitchens will return around World Showcase promenade with favorites.
