Rob Parker: "Remember the talk that nobody wanted Russell Wilson? 'He's washed! He's so phony!' The dude can still play football! Can people come around to that? How much better does he have to play? I'm not crowning him, I'm just saying you were wrong and you bought into Sean Payton's hate! He didn't like that guy from day one when he got to Denver and couldn't wait to get rid of him."
Kelvin Washington: "I think Sean Payton had a control issue, where that 'if you don't do exactly what I want you to do, we have issues.' I think the reason why he wanted a young quarterback that he could shape and mold is so that - it's almost like Manchurian Candidate, 'I can get you to do exactly what I want you to do, be exactly what I want you to be.' Whereas with Russell Wilson, he would have to work with him, he has years of experience. I don't want to deal with that if I'm Sean Payton, I want you to be 'yes sir, yes sir, this is what we're going to do.'"
Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington react to Russell Wilson succeeding since taking over the starting role in Pittsburgh. Rob explains why Sean Payton was wrong about Russell Wilson during his time in Denver and demonstrates how Payton allowed his personal feelings to get in the way of his professional duty. Kelvin breaks down why he believes Payton was so willing to move on from Wilson, and the guys give Wilson the credit they believe he deserves for playing well thus far.
