The Jaguars Season Makes or Breaks on Sunday

Jacksonville Jaguars v Houston Texans

So far in the 2017 NFL season, the Jacksonville Jaguars have enjoyed early season success, something that has eluded them for quite some time.

That momentum needs to follow them to New York when they take on the Jets Sunday afternoon.

After a very convincing 44-7 beat down of the Ravens in London last week, the Jags have an opportunity to put together a win streak and take control of the AFC South.

While the Jets are coming off a 20-6 upset victory over the Dolphins, they are still a team that is trying their very best to lose as many games as possible (I'm tired of hearing the word 'tanking'). In order to be taken seriously, the Jags need to come out and dominate the Jets the way they did the Ravens last week and the Texans in week one.

I know it is only week four, but a complete performance against a bad team only builds momentum going forward. The Jags can ill afford to lay a dud Sunday if they want to make the playoffs for the first time since 2007, which ironically is the last time the team started 2-1 in a season. A convincing win proves the Jags are for real this season.

After the Jets, the Jaguars play at Pittsburgh and then don't play a team that made the playoffs last year until they take on Seattle in week 14.

Everything is in place for this team to not only go on a nice win streak, but win the division and it all starts Sunday against the Jets.
