Blake Bortles the Game Manager?

Blake Bortles has become one of the most erratic passers in the NFL. The term gun-slinger has a hero-like connotation, it's usually said in an effort of reverence. In reference to Blake however, there it's no compliment. He has thrown 51 interception in 3 years of play for the Jags. It's time for a change in philosophy.

And in comes Tom Couglin a.k.a. Captain Hard Ass.

He has already implemented a different type of feel in the locker room, getting rid of the team ping pong table and all. Now it's time to change things on the field.

Personnel...check. Coughlin helped in the continuing build of the defense, brought in a big time left tackle (Branden Albert), and drafted another (Cam Robinson). Oh, and then there's that Leonard Fournette guy.

It's time for Blake to go back to what he was on his original Captain Hard Ass..aka George O'Leary. And that's a game manager. His last year at UCF he attempted 382 passes, good enough for 36th in college football. He threw 25 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. If he were to only throw 9 interceptions in a season with the Jags, they put him in the Jacksonville ring of honor.

His last year at UCF featured a duo of backs, Stanback and Storm Johnson, and smart passing by Mr. Bortles. Smart passing that got him drafted 3rd overall by the Jags.

Time to get back to that.
