I first heard Vin Scully's voice while playing "MLB 2000" on Playstation at 9 years of age and I could immediately tell that I was hearing greatness. I would eventually learn through my father among others that Vin Scully spanned six decades broadcasting Dodgers baseball, beginning in 1950 and nobody has witnessed and described more baseball (among other sports) in such an impactful way. He painted the picture perfectly, told memorable stories, and could hold down an entire broadcast on his own. So many of his calls will be played forever and will remain a special moment in time.
