Most coaches get a good amount of time to turn things around at their respective programs before the higher-ups are forced to make a change. Scott Frost (8-13 record) is struggling at Nebraska as is Chip Kelly (7-14) out at UCLA. Both of them were hired the same year as Willie Taggart, who has more wins than those two coaches with nine but Taggart never seemed to be the right fit for the Noles.
Did Willie Taggart get enough time? "In some respects, no he didn't. You don't see many P5 coaches getting fired less than two seasons in. At the same time, the results weren't great." said FSU Insider Brendan Sonnone during his interview with Open Mike.
A couple of names that have been thrown out to replace Taggart have been P.J. Fleck, Bob Stoops, and Mark Stoops.
Catch who Brendan thinks could be the new head coach at Florida State as well as the entire interview below.
