The Tampa Bay Bucs traveled out west and were near 10-point underdogs taking on the L.A. Rams. They apparently didn't get the memo that they were supposed to get blown out. The Bucs forced four Jared Goff turnovers (3 INTs and a fumble) and put up a franchise record 55 points on their way to the upset win. The only mistake was a late Jameis Winston pick six but after jumping out to a 21-0 early lead, they never looked back.
Despite playing against a winless Broncos team, the Jaguars were underdogs in Denver. A rookie quarterback playing in that altitude, no Jalen Ramsey, and a struggling Leonard Fournette absolutely played a factor in the spread. Fortunately for the Jaguars, it did not play a factor on the field. Down 17-6 at the half, Gardner Minshew would throw two second half touchdowns while showing his ability to escape pressure and protect the ball. Leonard Fournette helped out his rookie QB with an 81 yard run and finishing with 225 yards on the day.
