Kirk Cousins as a talent is tough to figure out. He was drafted in the 4th round out of MSU, was supposed to play 2nd fiddle to RG3, and we all see how that's turned out. Cousins has been a pleasant surprise from under center, but at times, he looks every bit like a 4th round pick. Either way, he'll get big money on the open market because of the position he plays, and the fact that he's been over 4,000 yards the last 3 season with 20+ TD's in each.
With the Redskins trading for veteran Alex Smith, we can safely assume Cousins days in Washington D.C. are over. The question now becomes, where to? While there is certainly a market for Cousins, where he ends up is quite the mystery. The NFL actually has QB surplus going into next season, and a few of the teams that need new signal callers, have picks inside the top 10, where they can easily draft Rosen, Darnold, Allen, or Mayfield.
