I think we can get this fun fact out of the way, both Eagles fans and Patriots fans are obnoxious. However, pointing that out is not the purpose of this thought-provoking question...it's just factual.
The motivation behind the question is this; either Eagles fans or Patriots fans will experience something on Sunday that Central Florida sports fans just simply haven't: Winning the ultimate prize as the consummate underdog or continuing an unstoppable dynasty.
Now of course, you have UCF fans who experienced something special in their own right, there's no denying that. But, I'm not talking about having a magical season and claiming you're the champ (which I'm on board with), I'm talking about getting to the actual mountain top, and winning.
The question is, which would be more exhilarating as a fan? The question on its surface sounds ridiculous. Who wouldn't prefer 5 Super Bowls in the span of 18 years, right? Of course any fan base would want that, but that's not the crux of the question. The deeper question here is, do Patriots fans even enjoy these Super Bowl wins anymore? In some ways, doesn't that fan base just expect championships? As opposed to the Eagles fan who has been so close, but never seen their team win the ultimate prize, the Eagles fan that watched their team as the underdog in every game this post season. For that fan, is it possible to think, they're the one's who could experience the most joy on Sunday?
