To continue a conversation from last week, where we called Orlando a "fickle beast" when it comes to which NFL team is the most popular on a year-to-year basis. It seems as though the Jaguars have captured the hearts and minds of the fine people in the Greater Orlando area...at least for now.
And for good reason...
The Jags have a distinct personality, they're fun to watch, and they have local ties up and down the roster.
Starting with Blake Bortles, the greatest QB in UCF history, and then of course one of their star corners, AJ Bouye. To add to that: The Jags have 3 players from "The U" (Campbell, Hurns, and Linder), 3 players from FSU (Ramsey, Rashad Greene, and Telvin Smith), 2 players from Florida (Dante Fowler Jr. and Lerentee McCray), and even a player from Stetson (Donald Payne). That's 11 prominent players with college football ties to this state/fans in this community.
Oh, and there's this. Orlando loves a winner.
So, with the Jags improbable run coming to a close yesterday in New England, we ask you - Is Orlando a Jags town now?
