Black Monday came. Black Monday went. Though, it wasn't as bad as many people thought it would be.
Black Monday, the day after the conclusion of week 17 in the NFL season fell short of the Vegas over/under by 3 coaches. The O/U set was 7 head coaching jobs to open up, but only 4 victims felt the Black Monday wrath (5 if you count Ben McAdoo).
The following coaches lost their jobs:
- Chuck Pagano in Indy
- Jack Del Rio in Oakland/Vegas
- John Fox in Chicago
- Jim Caldwell in Detroit
Bruce Arians "retired" but there's a chance he was pushed out, so we'll call that one a push for now.
Point is, there are about 4 or 5 coaches that found themselves squarely on the hot seat to end the year, but somehow someway retained their position. How? Why? and Which surprised you the most is the genesis of our Thought Provoking Daily Poll...
