Who would've thought that this could actually be a debate one year ago? Everyone, and I mean everyone, was selling Blake Bortles stock a year ago. Now, how can you be so sure that he's not the QB of the future for the Jacksonville Jaguars? Obviously that team is built around its defense, but Blake has done his part this year to lead the team to 9 victories through 13 weeks of their NFL season.
Jameis on the other hand, the former #1 overall pick, and a guy that we all thought was a "sure-thing" looks anything but that. The Bucs have only won 4 games, Jameis has turned the ball over more times than he's gotten in the end-zone, and now there are reports that he's feuding with his coach.
If you look at their side-by-side stat comparison over the course of their career, Jameis and Blake are basically the same guy. Blake has 89 career TD's, 59 career picks, and has completed 59% of his throws (in 4 NFL seasons). Jameis has 64 TD's, 41 INT's, and has completed 60% of his passes (in 3 NFL seasons).
Over the last 3 seasons, each of the 2 QB's has won exactly 17 games.
So, given what we know right now, which would you choose?
