It's a question we ask ourselves everyday, what exactly do the listeners want?
What do you expect when you flip the dial on the morning, mid-day, or afternoon? Entertainment, information, or controversy? What should we deliver to our audience? Every listener is different, so at the end of the day, you just have to be yourself and in some ways do all of the above.
With that being said, the afternoon guys up in Boston @ 98.5 probably took it to the extreme the other day...in a bad way.
As many of you know, former MLB pitcher, Roy Halladay crashed his plane in the Gulf earlier this week and tragically passed away. One short day later, it was hot-take city on the Felger & Mazz show up in Boston. They said everything from "he deserved it" to "Roy obviously doesn't care about his life and his family". Beyond inappropriate and ill-timed commentary on the issue.
But hey, it's 2017. Maybe that's the kind of trash people are looking for these days. We'll let you be the judge.
