I guess the easy answer would be, it would mean they're 3-1. That would be the "Belichick-ian" answer at least. Reality is, the Bucs came into the season with an insane level of hype, were nationally featured on HBO's Hard Knocks, and tonight is the night they can begin to back it all up. 

The Bucs could benefit a ton from a win over the Super Bowl champs, mainly because, while the Bucs are 2-1- The 2 teams they've defeated (Giants and Bears) have a total combined record of 1-7. The one loss they have (Vikings) was a really really bad one. Beating big/bad New England could add some real texture to this Bucs hype we've been hearing about all off-season...or, maybe the Pats are bad too...
