Wow. I can't believe this actually happened. That was my first thought as the 2 combatants were making their respective struts to the ring. I NEVER thought the rumors that started swirling a couple years ago would ever come to fruition. But they did. On Saturday August 26th, we saw (if we so chose to) Conor McGregor vs Floyd 'Money' Mayweather. 

The build up to the fight had me all-in...at first, but then, like most of you, I saw through the façade and started to get the feeling this fight would wind up just as (or more) disappointing than Phelps vs Shark. 

Saturday night however, I found myself again, all in. This is not boxing at it's finest, but it is competition between two highly skilled athletes...and I had to see who would win with my own eyes. 

The fight went about as expected, the more skilled Mayweather schooled the Irishman on the art of boxing. With that said, you've got to give Conor credit, he stood in there and took it, right up until referee Byrd called the fight. All-in-all, I was entertained, and I felt like it was a win all around.
