Watch Out for the...Jags?

Tennessee Titans v Jacksonville Jaguars

Looking at things from CV’s POV.

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me twice, shame on me.

Hopefully, the Jacksonville Jaguars don't make a fool out of me in 2017.

The AFC South is the weakest division in football and couple that with a few other factors, my pick to win the division is…the Jacksonville Jaguars?

Yes, the Jacksonville Jaguars will win the AFC South and before you start trying to insult my football knowledge, just hear me out, OK?

Last year I bought into all their free agent acquisitions on defense and they let me down. This year, I am buying in again.

Jalen Ramsey will have another year under his belt, they bring in the best free agent cornerback from the rival Houston Texans in A.J. Bouye, they bring in safety Barry Church from Dallas, and they also signed defensive lineman Calais Campbell from Arizona. This is just a few of the moves they made on defense.

Upgrading their offensive line by trading for Brandon Alberts and drafting Cam Robinson will help improve their run game which was also upgraded when they drafted Leonard Fournette with the fourth overall pick. These things will take the pressure off Blake Bortles and should cut down on his turnovers. And you know what they say, the best defense is being able to run the ball on offense and own the time of possession battle.

And let's not forget who is in charge of the Jaguars now – the great Tom Coughlin. He built the franchise back in the glory days and he's the perfect man to rebuild it, too.

While the Texans have a great defense, I am not sold on Tom Savage as their starting quarterback and Deshaun Watson is a rookie. At least they were able to get rid of that terrible contract they gave to Brock Osweiler.

The Colts tremendous inability to protect Andrew Luck has been their downfall since Luck came into the league back in 2012 and he has had some turnover issues of his own. I don’t see any reason why this season will be any different.

The Tennessee Titans have a good offense but Marcus Mariota is coming off a broken leg and their defense gave up over 20+ points in 10 games last season.

Like I said, they fooled me last year but I blame it on the lack of protection and run game. This year though, they upgraded the defense more and should have a legit run game and offensive line to protect Bortles.

Their schedule is also pretty easy with games against the Jets, Browns, Rams and 49ers.

The Jaguars have not been to the playoffs since 2007 and they have never won the AFC South.

Mark my words, that will change this year!
