2021 was supposed to be the season where we found out exactly what Tua was with Miami. I went on record numerous times saying that the evaluation would be done and final by about game 8 or 10 of last season. And still…I can confidently say I don’t know whether or not he’ll be a superstar QB or not…
I think he will. Tozzi thinks he will. Many don’t believe…but the one thing we should all agree on, is that we just don’t know for sure yet.
Look @ the way last year broke down…
·Starts with a win over New England, follows that up with a brutal loss against Buffalo. Stats were nothing special. Then he’s out for a month due to injury.
·You’re thinking at that point, ok, this guy is just injury prone…doesn’t light up the stat board…maybe we’ve figured it out.
·Comes back against Jacksonville in week 5, London…best statistical game of the year. 329 yards passing, 70% comp rate, 2 touchdowns…but in a loss…that’s puzzling.
·The following week, same thing. 4 touchdown passes…in a loss to atlanta…
·Another loss to buffalo…starting to get concerned…then, he rattles off 6 wins in a row!
·Only to then finish the season with an epic loss to the titans…and a win against the Pats where he only threw for 109 yards.
Add to that rollercoaster season, his coach hated him…the lack of an offensive line…weapons to throw the ball to…and it still leaves a giant question mark hanging over his head.
