Kravitz Lists His Top 5 Names for Orlando's XFL Team

I don’t know what got me thinking about this as a topic, I think it was watching a touch of USFL on the TV at the hotel this past weekend, but I’m pumped about bringing the XFL to Orlando.

As far as I know, they haven’t formally announced Orlando is getting a team, but they’re getting a team.

We already saw the report from months ago, According to Matt Zenitz of ON3 reports that Terrell Buckley is expected to be hired as head coach of the new XFL Orlando franchise.

He’s not coming out with a report like that unless Orlando’s getting a team. So…let’s talk names! I’ve tasked you guys with this before, but frankly, you aren’t all that good at it. So, here, we go!

5- Orlando Rage- A bit of a throwback here, I don’t love the name, its very XFL 2000, but nostalgia is always an option.

4- Orlando Crusaders- Kind of a play on the Knights already being in town, you think Knights, you think middle ages, you think Crusades…it all plays.

3- Orlando Express- For 2 reasons, we love using express passes at theme parks, and we now love the new express lane on I4. Double meaning, total win.

2- Orlando Orcas- You could go Killer Whales here too, but I don’t know if its too aggressive for 2022. Dolphins get love, Sharks get love, but I think there’s only 1 whale mascot in sports (Vancover Canucks). Love the alliteration too.

Number 1!- Orlando Storm Troopers- I’m not even a Star Wars guy and I know this is awesome. The Star Wars franchise is now owned by Disney, Disney is Orlando, it makes perfect sense, and imagine the apparel you could sell with this.
