This week’s competition! (spreads locked as of this morning)

This week, I set it up a bit different…there are 7 games to choose from but you don’t have to pick all 7. You can make up to 7 selections…and that includes O/U’s.

1.Tigers @ Yanks (-1.5)- Garrit Cole on the mound, this is an Apple TV game. Things get weird on Apple TV. I’m actually going to take the UNDER @ 8. How about this, last 3 Tigers games have gone under, and 4 of the last 5 Yanks games have gone under.

2.CWS @ Rays (-1.5)- I’m on the Rays ML here. McClanahan on the mound, he’s one of their best, plus…I found this random nugget…the Rays have only lost once this season immediately following a road trip. Basically, they always win their first game back @ home.

3.Lightning @ Rangers (+1.5)- I think the Rangers might just be that good. I know Vasi’s record following losses, but this Rangers team is different. Plus, the betting market is disrespecting NY here. 80% on the Lightning. I’ll take the goal and a half.

4.Red Sox @ A’s (+1.5)- Eovaldi on the mound for the Sox, and how about this… Oakland has been the weakest hitting team against right-handers since the beginning of May. Gotta be on the Bo Sox.

5.Mets @ Dodgers (-1.5)- I can’t say I know much about the pitching matchup here, Chris Bassitt (Mets) vs Tyler Anderson (Dodgers) but I do know that the Mets are not to be trifled with. I’ll take the Mets +1.5.

6.Giants @ Marlins (+1.5)- I’m not going to go with a side here, I’m going to go over the 7.5 run total. The Marlins have had some high scoring games as of late…they just wrapped up a 2 game stretch where they put up 26 runs themselves. Pretty wild. Yesterday their total vs the Giants was 3, so I like a little course correction here. I’ll take the over.

7.Celtics @ Warriors (-4)- Man, this is tough. I love betting the Celtics, they’ve come through for me more than any other team this year. And did so in game 1. But this is a tough spot. Game 2, GS off a loss. Still at home. I’ll take the Warriors to win and cover in game 2.
