Kravitz Ranks the Biggest Winners From Night 1 of the NFL Draft

We’ve got some big draft winners from last night, multiple teams with 2 1st round picks, numerous trades, and even some players traded last night. So here we go, a top 5 to close out the week.

5- Giants- Just sitting pat and getting exactly what they need. The draft fell right to them, it was easy to get the win here, would’ve been really tough to screw up 2 top 10 picks in a draft loaded with talent, but they still nailed it with Kayvon and Neal.

4- Ravens- They absolutely crushed the draft. Not only do they get Kyle Hamilton @ 14 who is PERFECT for their culture and system but they also flip Hollywood Brown for pick 23, they then turn 23 into 25 and pick up extra draft luggage, and then select a position of need and the top center in the draft in Tyler Linderbaum. Classic Ravens.

3- Jets- The Jets had draft capital and they used it. They got the best corner in the draft, the best receiver in the draft, and the biggest 1st round steal based on projected value when they traded back into the 1st round to get Jermaine Johnson out of FSU @ 26. Nailed it. Now all they have to do is get out of their own way and don’t screw it up.

2- Eagles- They got the best player of the night in AJ Brown, hard not to love that. Look, at the end of the day, all these guys that are getting drafted are prospects, no one is a “sure thing”, but AJ Brown absolutely is. Plus, they snatch Jordan Davis to add to an aging d-line. Love the Eagles Thursday night moves.

Number 1!- Lions- The Lions made out like bandits, they got the #1 player in the draft to fall to them at 2 because Trent Baalke loves arm length, Aiden played @ Michigan, he’ll be an instant fan fav. Then, they trade back into round one and listen to what it cost them to move up 20 spots… The Lions essentially traded away just the No. 34 overall pick to move up 20 spots in Round 1 (32 to 12) and 20 spots on Day 2 (66 to 46). Great value.
