Kravitz's Top 5 Teams That Need to Make Deals Before the NBA Trade Deadline

Time for our Tuesday rankings, let’s dive right into it. Thought about going Super Bowl, many great options there, thought about going Olympics…Ok, that’s a lie…but the NBA Trade Deadline is around the corner and there are some teams that desperately need to make some deals. So, today’s Ranking is the Top 5 teams that need to make deals @ the Deadline.

5- Hawks- This was a conference title team a year ago, and now they’re fighting for a play-in spot in the east. Something’s not right – maybe its time to get something for John Collins, and give Trae Young a legitimate #2 that he can play off of. The Hawks have a chance to be relevant for years and years, but they need to make a move to solidify their starting 5.

4- Trail-Blazers- I know they already made the deal for the Clippers pieces they got, but its time for them to go big. McCollum, maybe even Lillard. This team needs a reset, they had a chance to be perennial competitors, we saw them in the conference finals not too long ago. It just feels like those days are over. Best to collect assets while you can. ***UPDATE: THEY LISTENED!

3- Celtics- Boston feels like they’re a piece away. I like the scoring combo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, they play good defense as a team – top 5 over the last month. It just feels like they’re missing something. Some pop off the bench or a 3rd star. I think they’re close, and in this year’s eastern conference, I think they actually have a shot if they tinker correctly.

2- Knicks- We have got real trouble in the Big Apple, turns out last year. Just a mirage. This team is a mess, Julius Randle seems to be unhappy, they just don’t feel like a sustainable unit right now, but they have pieces. They could shoot for the moon with a Randle deal, go for something smaller like RJ Barrett, either way…they are rudderless, they’ve lost 9 of 11, and its time for a change.

Number 1! – 76ers- They’ve got to do something, they have the leagues MVP, in my opinion, as it stands right now. Who knows how long he’ll be able to play @ this level, you’ve got to make a move – the 76ers are currently the 5-seed in the east. This could be a legitimate contender to win it all with the right side car to Embiid. Maybe its Harden, maybe its someone else, but Seth Curry isn’t enough.
