Kravitz's Top 8 NBA MVP's At The Mid-Way Point in the Season

You've seen me share my top 8 NFL MVP's for weeks and weeks, well now its time to transition to the NBA! I'll only do this list a couple times a year but here's round 1 based on what we've seen thus far.

My Top 8 NBA MVP’s:

8- Chris Paul- Number 1 seed in the West again, give this man some love. Averaging 10 assists per game on the season. 12 in the month of January. Scores double digits a night, doesn’t turn the ball over. LEADER.

7- Kevin Durant- Putting up insane #’s, carrying the Nets through the Kyrie-less days. 1st in the league in PPG. As good as ever.

6- Nikola Jokic- 25.8 points, a career-high 14.2 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 56.1% shooting this season. Basically the same #’s he had last year when he took home the NBA’s MVP award.

5- Ja Morant- Most exciting player in the game right now. He’s changed things in Memphis big time, they are 4th right now in a loaded western conference. 25 ppg, 6 boards, 7 assists. Dude does it all.

4- Steph Curry- The Warriors are back on the map folks and Curry is playing @ an MVP level. Little bit of slump right now…although for curry, a slump is still him scoring 25 a night. Get this, at the end of December- Curry went on a run where he put up 30, 30, 46, 33, and 23. Scoring machine.

3- Joel Embiid- Best big man in the league, he’s on fire right now, lock down defender. He’s the only thing keeping this Sixers team afloat (5th in the west)

2- LeBron James- He’s just out here schooling everyone in year 57 of his NBA career. Just over the past three games, he's averaged 32.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 35.0 minutes. He’s playing all 5 positions and his team sucks.

Number 1!- Giannis- Best player in the league right now. And he’s rolling. He’s a top 5 defender and no one can stop him from getting into the paint. It’ll take a heroic performance from one of the guys behind him on this list to knock him off.
