Kravitz's Winners and Losers from NFL Week 16

Winners-

·Joe Burrow- This guy is seriously about to enter the MVP discussion, I had him 6th last week, he’s moving up at least 2 spots after what he did to Baltimore. 525 yards through the air, 5 TD’s, and he made it look good too. Yes, the Ravens secondary is depleted but he completely took advantage.

·Jags- Maintaining their spot as the #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft for 2022 after losing to the Jets. And isn’t it amazing, the Jets now have 4 wins this season – how the hell did that happen? (4W’s against: Titans, Bengals, Texans, Jags)

·Snow game- Seahawks/Bears actually turned out to be a pretty good game but none of that matters, it was a snow game! I’d say, easily the winner for most gorgeous game of the year thus far. Who doesn’t love a good snow game?

·Dak Prescott- He silenced some doubters last night. 28/39 330 and 4 TD’s on his way to a 42-7 lead at the half and a 56-14 win against Washington in prime time. Did not see that explosion coming, and given how beat up WFT is, I don’t know how much we can make of it – but still, impressive to do what they did.

·Titans- I left them for dead, again, but they’re like a cat with 9 lives. We have to go all the way back to Thursday night for this one, the Titans beat the red-hot Niners 20-17 after it looked like they were getting dominated at every phase of the game. 10-0 at half in favor of the Niners, and then Tennessee outscored SF 20-7 in the 2nd half, winning the game on a last second rope of a FG from Randy Bullock. With that win, they’re still in play for the top seed in the AFC.

·Bucs run game- The Bucs took care of the Panthers (as to be expected) 32-6 but the most promising thing we saw was the ground game for Tampa stay afloat without Leonard Fournette. Even Ke’Shawn Vaughn got in the mix with a 55 yard TD run, easily the best run of his career. Bucs ran for 159 yards yesterday.

Losers-

·COVID- Last night, the WFT was so short handed on defense, when NBC went through the defensive introductions, they actually had a guy (Milo Eifler) who just had a still image. It was hilarious…but also kind of like, what are we doing here? Also, I’m pretty sure we had 3 third-string QB’s playing yesterday. Fromm, Boyle, and Johnson from Baltimore.

·Baker Mayfield- I want to believe in this guy so bad, but he just makes it so very hard. The Browns absolutely should’ve won that game on Saturday in GB. They lost by 2, and it was in a game where Baker threw 4 picks. Just can’t do that. I’d be surprised if someone didn’t give him a chance to start just because of that 1st overall pedigree, but the bloom is off the rose completely in Cleveland.

·Giants fans- The NYG have announced that they elect to keep Joe Judge and Daniel Jones next season, thus guaranteeing another year of sub-par play from what should be New York City’s best football team.

·Justin Herbert- Just when I was starting to talk you up again! A loss to the Texans and a costly pick 6 at the end of the game. Never mind the subpar fantasy performance you gave me in not one but TWO fantasy playoff matchups, he’s a year away from hitting the ceiling of what it looks like he can be.

·Cardinals- After losing to the Colts, it looks like the NFC West has officially slipped from their grasps. The Rams are 11-5 and rolling, the Cards are 10-5 and have lost their last 3. They now sit as the 5 seed with 2 games left to play. They clinched a playoff birth already but their road to a SB is getting a lot tougher.
