Stone-Cold Locks of the Week: Time to Rebound!

Another week, another round of my Stone-Cold Locks of the week –this is the biggest week yet for my locks, after a brutal 1-6 week, I need a rebound in a bad way. If I continue to run cold, I will self-impose a ban, renaming my locks – luke warm suggestions. 30-37 on the year…we need some W’s!

throw away the keys – let’s lock ‘em up!

*All spreads reflect the current line as of this morning on the HardRock Sportsbook

Mizzou (+9) hosting the Florida Gators- Well, when you need victories, it’s a great time to fade the Florida Gators. This team was celebrating a tight win over Samford @ the Swamp, they are not in the mental state to go on the road inside the SEC. I don’t care how bad Mizzou might be. Both teams are 5-5 on the year and most importantly – the Gators are 3-7 against the spread this year. I’ll take the lay-up, Tigers +9, lock it up.

SMU (+11.5) @ Cincinnati- Sorry Bearcats, I’m just not that impressed. I can’t forgive or forget the 7 point win over Navy or the close call against Tulsa at home…or the fact that in the 2nd half last week, you let USF stroll up and down the field on you. SMU is a good football team and one of the big differences between the two right now- Cincy is playing like they know they can’t lose. Super tight. SMU, 8-2, free as a bird. Also- let me tell you about Seeker…that’s a robot QB SMU uses at practice, as to not tire out their QB’s…facts. SMU +11.5. Lock it up.

Colts (+7.5) @ Buffalo- I know Buffalo got back on track last week but this is what the Bills do, they beat up on bad competition (outside of the Jags for some reason). Last time the Bills played a team at or above .500, they lost outright. The Colts are not a push over, they have the best back in football and Carson Wentz has been playing some respectable level of QB this season. 7 is simply too much. Give me the Colts. Lock it up.

Jags (+6) vs SF- This is gross. Absolutely disgusting. But I can’t look away from it. And I know what you’re thinking! “You don’t bet on the Jags- it’s the 10th commandment of sports betting”…that is correct. But rules were meant to be broken. This Jags defense is legit. They’re been playing some really good football as of late, specifically their run D…and that’s what the Niners want to do, run the ball. Fun fact: West coast teams traveling east after playing on MNF- 3-9 ATS in the last 12. I like the Jags to cover and possibly win the game. Lock it up.

Bengals (-1) @ LV- This one’s simple, I’m just going to take the better team, coming off the bye, and 2 straight losses in what basically adds up to a pick ‘em. Think about the psychology of this, 2 losses in a row for a team that was once 5-2 and feeling like they were on top of the world – they get a bye week to sit and let that stew for a week plus…I think this Bengals team is going to come out on fire. And as for the Raiders, too much drama in that locker room, too much to overcome, they did a good job initially, but 41 points allowed to a struggling Chiefs team last week – red flag. Bengals -1. Lock it up!
