WWE Wrestlers and Staff Stuck in Saudi Arabia

It's been reported that almost all of the WWE Superstars and production staff that worked the WWE Crown Jewel even in Saudi Arabia have been stuck there and will miss Smackdown tonight. Differing reports have come out, the official statement from WWE says,

More than 175 Superstars, production crew and employees boarded a 747 charter flight back to the United States on Thursday. After the door closed, due to several aircraft problems including mechanical issues, all passengers sat on the tarmac for more than six hours. With SmackDown set to emanate live from Buffalo, N.Y., several Superstars felt so strongly that they arranged for their own separate charter in order to make it back to the U.S. for the show. Due to unforeseen issues, that charter will not land until after the live broadcast on FOX.

Insiders are reporting that the real reason as to why WWE did not leave on time was that the Government of Saudi Arabia have not actually paid WWE for the last show. A cost that could be upwards of millions of dollars.

Some WWE Superstars have been on Twitter explaining their frustrations about the situation.
