Sure, soccer isn't a huge deal in the US, but when our national team goes out to play, we show up. The same can't be said for the North Korean team.
For the first time in almost 30 years, the South Korean National Team traveled into North Korea for a FIFA World Cup Qualifying match. The stage was set in Kim Il Sung Stadium, everything was perfect, except something was missing.
The fans.
Fans were not allowed into the stadium and Pyongyang did not broadcast the game live. Seeing photos from the match is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.
For what it's worth, the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
