CBS Sports nominates the Magic as a potential landing spot for Westbrook

After the trade of Paul George to the Clippers, the Thunder are scrambling to figure out what to do with Russell Westbrook. Could the Magic make a move for the All-Star point guard?

Here's what we know:

  1. The Thunder have fallen far down the pecking order in the West
  2. A disgruntled Westbrook wouldn't be fun for anyone
  3. The Thunder covet youth, draft picks, and cap flexibility

So, who is in the market for Westbrook now that he might be "on the block"?

The Heat, T-Wolves, and Raptors have all been speculated on at this point.

CBSSports.com seems to think the Magic are in play as well. Here's what they had to say:

There are a couple ways Orlando, which remains in need of an impact point guard, could go about this. The first package would include Aaron Gordon, along with Markelle Fultz and D.J. Augustin. The Thunder get Gordon, who is locked up for the next three years on a pretty team-friendly deal at an average annual salary of about $19 million, and take a shot on Fultz. If he somehow comes out of his funk and rediscovers his game, the Thunder win huge. If not, the Thunder have added Gordon and cleared their books of Fultz and Augustin by next summer.

Only time will tell, but man is it fun to speculate.
