If you haven't seen this week's episode of Smackdown Live, you are missing out on the performance of the year so far. I know that it's early, but the effort put on by Kofi Kingston in the main event gauntlet match will go down as a defining career moment for the tenured WWE star.

It all started with the WWE champion. Daniel Bryan was the first one Kofi dropped in the match. It was such a great surprise and it came out of nowhere. Jeff Hardy was next to fall. Then Samoa Joe came out and put the hurt on Kingston. In a bit of a twist, the commentary team was phenomenal in making this match seem important and Kingston's efforts that much bigger. Samoa Joe was pinned.

Finally, AJ Styles came out and this is where Kofi Kingston showed how good he can be. He dragged himself in and fought like a champion, but to no avail.
