The 6th-seeded Florida Gators (22-10) defeated the 11th-seeded Georgia Bulldogs (17-16) 85-80 on Thursday night in Nashville. The win sends the Gators to the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.
Walter Clayton Jr led the way with 22 points for the Gators. Florida also got 17 points and 15 rebounds from Tyrese Samuel, while Will Richard also scored 17 points for the Gators.
Florida will now take on #3 seed Alabama on Friday night. Tipoff in the SEC Quarterfinal matchup between the Gators and Crimson Tide is scheduled for 9:30 PM.
