The 18th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks (24-5, 12-4) rallied to beat the 24th-ranked Florida Gators (20-9, 10-6) 82-76 on Saturday afternoon in Columbia, South Carolina. The loss snaps a two-game winning streak for the Gators.
Meechie Johnson led the way with 25 points for the Gamecocks, including hitting a tie-breaking three-pointer with less than 45 seconds to go. Walter Clayton, Jr, led the way with 20 points for Florida.
The Gators are next in action when they host #14 Alabama on Tuesday night - tipoff from Gainesville is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
