In the midst of negotiations for the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, Major League Baseball asked for the ability to eliminate hundreds of minor league playing jobs in its latest labor offer to the Players Association.
Marc talks about how this would be very detrimental to several of the cities around the country that host minor league teams but understands the proposal.
He brings up that the model of having multiple minor league teams for an organization is foreign to other professional teams and the current model isn't sustainable.
