Tua Tagovailoa enters his 5th year with the Miami Dolphins after being selected 5th overall back in 2020. Trevor Lawerence enters his 4th season with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being selected No. 1 overall the following year in 2021. So on paper, Tua is a year ahead in the NFL schedule. Plus, Tua has averaged a higher completion percentage, more yards per game, touchdowns per game, and less interceptions per game. Despite his statistics and being older, report suggest that the Jags are ready tp offer Lawrence a shiny new contract worth around $50 million per year. Meanwhile, many were skeptical if Tua would hold out this season for the Dolphins until they reached terms on a new deal.
