So this UCF loss- if I can explain it in my own terms…For one, Malik Cunningham is really good, you gotta start there. I can’t understand or describe why he played so terribly against Syracuse but good players have bad games. UCF’s o-line is a problem, it was one of my negative takeaways from the SC State game and it reared its head. Plumlee is not a great decision maker with the football -- terrific runner, but almost over confident as a passer….perfect example of this…4th and goal under 3 minutes down by the goal line - threw the ball directly into traffic. You just can’t win close games when you don’t make good decisions…kicking is an issue…and Gus abandoned the run. But, thankfully for the Knights the season is still in front of them…even if some of the excitement has been dampened…
