The Dolphins Better Keep Tua

Let's set the record straight.

Tua is not the problem. Well, not the ONLY problem. And for everyone calling for Tua to get traded, or cut, or benched, or whatever... PLEASE STOP! There is very little worse than the knee jerk reaction of the over committed fan. Tua went 33/47 for 329 yards and 2 TDs with 1 INT in London. If I simply showed you that statistic, you would believe the Dolphins probably won that game convincingly and the Jags showed a glimmer of hope with the one INT.

But that's not how it went.

The issue with the Dolphins are defense and running game. Since the start of the season the Dolphins have only run for over 100 yards, ONCE. That was at Las Vegas for 133 yards. Aside from that game the highest rushing total for a game? 77 yards, against Jacksonville. This puts too much pressure on Tua and limits their abilities in the red zone. If you can't threaten to run the ball inside the 20 or even 10 yard line, you're not going to convert as many red zone chances as you'll need to.

Meanwhile the Dolphins defense can't stop ANYTHING. Run game, pass game, no pressure on the QB... Trevor Lawrence with a REALLY bad team, seemed to have his way with the Dolphins defense as that game went on.

Dolphins fans are looking at another forgettable season, but calling for Tua to be removed is a BIG mistake. Especially with no plan for the future. Unless you want Deshawn Watson, wonder if that's still on the table.
