College football was officially back this week and from Thursday to Monday there was PLENTY to get excited about. With all the great games on tap, it was truly SHOCKING to see the number of upsets and close calls handed out to ranked teams. Additionally, the FCS made a claim this weekend, as quite a few FCS teams upended their FBS competitors.

Virginia Tech over #10 North Carolina 17-10.
#5 Georgia over #3 Clemson 10-3.
#19 Penn State over #12 Wisconsin 16-10.
UCLA over #16 LSU 38-27.
Montana over #20 Washington 13-7.
And a BUNCH of close calls....
Minnesota almost takes out Ohio State in a close one. But Ohio State takes it 35-45.
Tulane almost takes out #2 ranked Oklahoma, ultimately losing 35-40.
Fresno State made it a close on with Oregon, falling 24-31.
FSU nearly kneecaps Notre Dame, in a 38-41 overtime classic.
Northern Iowa keeps it close with Iowa State, 10-16.
