It all started with a bet between baseball teams.
Yup, you heard that right. Last year Salvador Perez of the Kansas City Royals bet on the Superbowl with Brett Phillips of the Tampa Bay Rays. Of course he lost. To payout this debt, he had to wear a Tom Brady jersey during batting practice.
He fulfilled his obligation, but was sure to let fans know that Mahomes, who is part owner of the Royals, was indeed the best QB. He posted the video below, which caught the eye of Superbowl champ Tom Brady.
Brady didn't leave the situation alone.
