EA Sports Bringing Back College Football

Tuesday was a big day for college football fans who missed having a top tier video game. EA Sports announced today they are bringing back a college football video game, although they don't yet have a launch date. Electronic Arts, the company who produces the game, is currently in negotiations with Collegiate LIcensing Company to lock down the use of more than 100 FBS teams. This includes being able to use the names, and likeness of the stadiums, mascots, and uniforms used by these schools.

This will be the first college football game released by EA Sports since 2013, after a $40M dollar settlement was reached in a class action lawsuit from former college players.

This game will not use the names or likenesses of any college football players, at all.
