The Raiders are the most "faux-relevant" team in the NFL

Chargers/Raiders tonight. Level of interest in the game? Probably minimal. You know why, because we're told the Raiders are relevant...when they're really not.

The Raiders should be one of "those teams". I think they’re positioned as “one of those teams” but they might be the most faux-relevant team in the NFL. Where we are tricked into thinking they’re important because of the black and silver, the mystique, John Madden, Kenny Stabler, the Black Hole, Al Davis, just win baby…

But what have they actually done? Since 2002 when they played the Bucs in the SB do you know how many times they’ve been to the playoffs? (1- 2016 and they lost in the first round)

Since 2003, do you know how many times they’ve won 5 games or less? 11 times.

They went 7-9 last year, they will finish about the same this year. They moved to shiny new Vegas…and they are still irrelevant.

Are they the most faux-relevant team in the NFL? Other candidates…

Cowboys, Bears, Giants, Browns

Something to think about.
