2020 is a historical year and August 26th, 2020 will get its own chapter in a history book one day. It was the second time the sports world stood still. It was the day that the NBA's restart was put on hold. It was the day protests reached a new level.
The Milwaukee Bucks were the first team to take a stand. They did not leave the locker room for Game 5 of their playoff series with the Orlando Magic as a protest against the shooting of Jacob Blake, a man who was shot in the back seven times by police. This was their statement after the game.
Reports have now come out that some teams are having meetings discussing the possibility of boycotting the rest of the NBA season. The Lakers and the Clippers reportedly do not want to continue the season.
The entire league was on a call last night and another call will happen Thursday morning at 11 AM to expand discussions further.
Is this crazy NBA season coming to a screeching halt?
