Adrian "Woj" Wojnarowski is THE guy when it comes to NBA insiders. It's as if he's more connected inside the NBA than Adam Silver, but he won't be reporting for ESPN for a little while. Woj was suspended by ESPN after he sent a two word email back to Missouri Senator Josh Hawley.
Hawley sent a letter to the NBA explaining his anger with the league for its dealings with China and for limiting the social justice messages to exclude messages of support for the police and military. Woj sent back simply, "Fuck you."
Woj put out an apology hours later and was suspended by ESPN.
This weekend has seen a flood of support for Woj from those within the NBA. The hashtag #FreeWoj began trending and support came from star players such as LeBron James.
