The Miami Northwestern Bulls are on of the best football teams in the state winning the state title the past three years, but they are in hot water now. Coach Max Edwards has been suspended while an investigation is under way to see if the football team held illegal practices during the pandemic. Miami Northwestern sits firmly in Miami-Dade County, easily the hardest hit county in Florida with over 17,000 cases. CBS Miami reports:
“The school’s administration launched an investigation as soon as it learned about this unauthorized athletic activity. The head coach has been suspended pending the outcome of this matter and further action may be taken against others who may have been involved in this unsanctioned event. The school is in the process of communicating with parents of students who may have participated,” said Daisy Gonzalez-Diego, Chief Communications Officer for Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
If this investigation proves that they did practice during the pandemic, what should be the course of action? You tell us.
