There are reports coming out that the Kentucky cheer team is in hot water. All of their coaches were fired yesterday after a probe into the program revealed a culture of hazing, alcohol use, and public nudity. According to Ryan Gaydos of Fox News:
The investigation discovered that the activities occurred in the summer of 2019 during a retreat at a Kentucky lake and cheerleading camp in Tennessee. Some cheerleaders reportedly performed gymnastics routines that included hurling teammates into the lake “while either topless or bottomless within view of some of the coaches.”
Kentucky has one of the premier cheer teams in the country with 24 national titles in the last 35 years, it is safe to say that they may struggle to get a 25th.
Should they get the opportunity to compete again? You decide.
