Two storied NFL franchises will face off in Hall-of-Fame game

The Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers are two of the most storied franchises in the NFL. The Cowboys have five Super Bowls (tied for second) while the Steelers are tied with the Patriots for most Super Bowls all-time with six. They each boast a 3-3 record in the Hall of Fame game but this will be the first time the two teams face off against each other.

This will be the Cowboys first Hall of Fame game since 2017 and the first for the Steelers since 2015.

Both teams also have people who will be inducted into the Hall of fame. Former safety Troy Polamalu and head coach Bill Cowher are getting inducted for the Steelers while former head coach Jimmie Johnson is getting inducted for the Cowboys.

Other inductees for the August 8th ceremony will be Steve Atwater, Isaac Bruce, Steve Hutchinson, Edgerrin James, Steve Sabol, Paul Tagliabue, and George Young.

The Cowboys and Steelers also have members of the 10 Seniors for the special Centennial Class, who will have their enshrinement on September 18th and they are Cliff Harris (Cowboys) and Donnie Shell (Steelers).

The Hall of Fame game is Thursday, August 6th at 8pm in Canton, Ohio.
