Delonte West and Antonio Brown are in very similar situations. At the moment, they are in the public eye as former sports figures who are shells of what they once were. There is a pretty big difference, though. We have pity and feel bad for Delonte West but most people feel none of that for Antonio Brown.
Why is that?
Is it because we know that we are clearly in a better place than West but Brown still has millions of dollars to lose? Do we need to wait until someone hits rock bottom until we feel pity for them?
We ask these questions and more on The Bridge.
