Le'Veon Bell Had a Flu Game

New York Jets v Miami Dolphins

By now we've heard Le'Veon Bell was ruled out of the Jets game last week against the Dolphins because of the flu. We've also heard that Bell went out bowling with friends just five hours after being ruled out of the game on Saturday.

What we just found out, however, is that he was able to bowl a career best 251. I guess we can call this Bell's 'flu game' right?

Of course he was asked about it on Tuesday and explained what happened.

This marriage between Bell and the Jets just hasn't seemed compatible from the beginning. Clashes with coach Adam Gase (who said Bell won't be disciplined but did say it was a "bad look"), poor performances, and the Jets were even trying to deal Bell before the trade deadline.

This will likely be the one and only year for Le'Veon Bell in New York as the Jets are likely to try and trade him (again) in the offseason although his contract may make it difficult (four-years, $52.4 million). For the season, he has not rushed for more than 70 yards in a game, only has three games of over 100 total yards, and is totaling 532 yards and 3.2 yards per carry with three touchdowns.

I think the worst part of this story is the orange leather pants that Bell was wearing when he went bowling. That was a bold choice to say the least.

If I can end this with a bit of a brag, my career high in bowling is 267. So I have that going for me.
