The Rivers Household Might Be Awkward at Thanksgiving

The Houston Rockets beat the L.A. Clippers 102-93 Wednesday night. With about two minutes left in the fourth quarter and the Rockets up two, former Rocket Patrick Beverly was called for his sixth foul, which also sent James Harden to the line. Harden would knock down both free throws and also hit a three-pointer to put Houston up seven. During the timeout after Harden's three, Beverly was called for a technical foul.

That fired up Doc Rivers who started screaming at the officials and he was ejected after receiving two technical fouls. Doc's son Austin, who plays on the Rockets, was encouraging refs to T-up his dad.

To make matters even funnier, Austin made the 'call me' gesture with his hand as his dad was being escorted off the court.

I wonder if things might get a bit awkward during Thanksgiving dinner when Austin brags about helping get his dad T'd up, making the hand gesture 'call me', and then beating him.

Doc could get the last laugh though if he decides to hold back some of the turkey and instead just serve up some humble pie for his son.
