It's also good for the blog-o-sphere, you see a year ago today I (Brandon Kravitz) wrote an article about how poorly the Hennigan era has gone. The odd part is, it's all still true today. Take a look..

Magic drafted Aaron Gordon 4th overall (As well as trading up to grab Elfrid Payton)
Passed on – Julius Randle 7th overall
2015
Magic drafted Mario Hezonja 5th overall
Passed on – Emmanuel Mudiay 7th overall, Frank Kaminsky 9th, Devin Booker 13th, Justice Winslow10th, and Josh Richardson taken in the 2nd round.
Hennigan trades:
Traded Ryan Anderson for Gustavo Ayon
Traded Ayon, JJ Redick, and Ish Smith for Tobias Harris, Doron Lamb, and Beno Udrih
We all applaud Hennigan for his dealing of Dwight Howard, but what we fail to realize in retrospect is that in that trade – Andre Iguodala was a part of it and we didn’t get him. We got Vuc and a 1st round pick from the Nuggets…which we spent on Dario Saric. Go ahead and tell me you favorite Dario Saric memory…go on, I’ll wait. Oh, that’s right. Hennigan traded Saric to the 76ers for Elfrid Payton. Who then was almost replaced by Brandon Jennings one year later.
Then of course, there is Tobias Harris to the Pistons for Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyaslova.
In closing, what makes matter worse is that teams like the Bobcats (now Hornets), Celtics, Bucks, Raptors, and Wizards were all going through the same rebuild around the same time the Magic lost Dwight. I think it's safe to say, the Magic have the least amount of light at the end of the tunnel among those teams I mentioned.
So, if you're feeling down Magic fans...
