Less than two seasons as head coach of the Florida State Seminoles and Willie Taggart is out. He compiled a record of 9-12 and missed a bowl in his only full season. The Seminoles are coming off a 27-10 beat down at home at the hands of the rival Hurricanes with the loss also dropping the record this season to 4-5.
While many knew Taggart's firing was going to eventually come, it was not expected to be this season, and especially not after the game. "I was surprised at the timing. I don't think anyone is totally surprised though that he got fired." said Mike Huguenin during his interview.
Another in-state team that did not perform well in their rivalry game was Florida. Mike explained that the Gators have a lot of work to do in recruiting to catch up to how good Georgia is.
