The Las Vegas Raiders fired first year head coach Antonio Pierce today and FOX Sports New Anchor, Dan Beyer shares the details with Doug and his guest, 3 & Out’s John Middlekauff. Middlekauff has been covering the NFL for years and thinks that it’s a decision Raiders owner Mark Davis needed to make if he wants to remain competitive in the AFC West against coaches like Andy Reid, Jim Harbaugh and Sean Payton.
John Middlekauff: “Marc Davis; I do think his heart’s in the right place...There’s definitely not a division, where if you just drafted from the coaches, that had a better division with elite coaches than that one. So, he kind of didn’t have a choice...but man, he pays a lot of people to go away.”
